Director/Co-writer - John Richards
John Richards started out as a stand-up comedian, before joining Melbourne radio comedy team The Third Ear in the early 90s. After working on ABC radio and television he decided to concentrate on writing, and for the last few years has been working on a gay-themed feature script for Film Victoria. He has directed a number of music videos, but Outland is his first short film. His ambition is to be an embittered ex-child star.
Co-writer - Troy Hunter
Troy, frustrated novelist and marketing twit, has won several short story competitions, including the 1998 Outrage Short Story Competition, and co-wrote the short film Shout Out 101, Best Comedy winner at the 2005 Newcastle Shout Out 24-Hour Film Making Festival. He is currently working on his first novel and play.
Co-writer - Adam Richard
Adam Richard is an accomplished stand up comedian and appears regularly on The Glass House, Spicks and Specks and Rove Live. After a stint as Triple J's Mister Bitch (2002/3), Adam is currently a member of the Fox FM breakfast team and has a weekly segment on Channel Ten's 9am With David and Kim.

Cinematographer - David Ashton
David Ashton studied film at Curtin University, winning the 'Best Cinematography' award at the West Australian Film and Video Festival for his work on his final-year film. Since then he's worked on a number of projects including music videos, and programs for Channel 31 and SBS Online. David has also enjoyed a parallel career as a sound engineer working in radio and music production.
Editor - Rob Murphy
Rob (Bert) Murphy is a graduate of the Swinburne (now VCA) film and TV school. In the 16 years since he has worked on such projects as Funky Squad, Strictly Ballroom and Say A Little Prayer and his editing credits cover genres including feature films, documentaries, music videos and series TV. Apart from moonlighting on 'the best gay & lesbian science fiction fan club themed short' in his career, he is currently technical director and editor for No Limits screening nationally on the community television network.
Sound - Damaris Baker
Damaris is an accomplished musician and sound engineer.  Since studying Music Technology at La Trobe University, Damaris has worked  for a number of media outlets including 3CR, SBS and the ABC, as well as composing and recording music for various community projects and local musicians. In her spare time, she grows silverbeet and sunflowers in her garden and knits the occasional penguin.
Producer - Daniel Cardone
After producing and directing Everybody's Dead, the most pretentious student film ever produced in South Australia, Daniel fled under the cover of darkness to Melbourne. He has worked on the SBS telemovie Call Me Mum, the forthcoming feature film The Home Song Stories, and is currently co-producing the documentary Pretending with Michael McMahon and Tony Ayres, and writing the feature film Dead Head.
